It is the dawn of a new era in the realm of Escalerae with the death of Queen Israire and the crowning of King Marcairn - a rather shadowy figure whom many have come to mistrust, yet never openly.
Mere days after his crowning, King Marcairn's realm was beset by strange monsters, evil sorcerers, savage orcs and some opportunistic rogues. That which had once been a peaceful land was suddenly seiged by enemies none could mark arriving.
Strangely calm in the face of such tragedy, the new King called out for brave heros to vanquish the evil of the land, offering Knighthood, Lordship and wealthy for the most worthy of such reward.

Playable Characters (more should be added!)
Isabel - a reformed thief, she is considered to be the most skilled of the kingdom in stealth and 'item-retrieval'. Her signature weapon is a permanently sharpened dagger with a light poison coating and an impressive array of smoke, gas and noise grenades, she is ready to make a good profit off this tragedy.
Leonard - a brave warrior, he is proven to be the best swordsman in the kingdom and jumped at the chance to further prove his worth and earn the recognition he craves. Armed with custom-made steel armor and a massive broadsword, he is almost perfectly suited to take on the invading evil.
Seraphine - a devious mage with sorceress ambitions, she is a powerful, if untrustworthy defender of the kingdom and saw King Marcairn's challenge as a means to further power. Ready with a staggering knowledge of arcane, elemental, and even demonic spellcraft, she is ready to revel in her power.
