School for Scandal | joachim | 17

After sharing another deep hug, the duo just laid on the bed, looking into each other's eyes. After several minutes of light kissing and giggling like fools, Scott said, "Look, honey, can we take a break from sex for a while? We've got the rest of the day to fuck each other. Besides, I still need to unpack."

"Sure thing, honey," Tanya replied. "Need any help?"

"Sure thing, thanks." As the duo began unpacking Scott's bags, they found the conversation between them to flow as naturally as a mountain stream. Tanya found herself talking about events that had occurred at the school over the last two years; Scott talking about growing up in Port Arthur. In addition to all of Scott's clothing (in addition to school attire, Scott's clothes primarily consisted of classic-rock t-shirts and jeans), he had several paperback books and CDs with him.

"Wow, you weren't kidding, love; you really ARE an Ian Fleming fan." Most of the books were by the author; several others were by writers like Harlan Ellison, Terry Pratchett and Robert E. Howard.

"Well, I've always been an avid reader. Guess it comes from my mom being assistant manager of a bookstore," Scott remarked.

Tanya came across another item in his bag: a framed 8x10 picture of Scott with another girl. Skinny, with shoulder-length dark red hair, the two of them were dressed in medieval-style clothing, their arms wrapped around each other.

"Is this Kerri?" Tanya asked.

Scott glanced over at the picture. "Oh, yeah, that's her. That picture was taken at a Renaissance Fair we went to two years ago."

"Was it the Pirate Weekend?" Tanya asked, referring to the eyepatch Kerri was wearing.

Scott looked up. All of the former humor in him seemed to fade away. "We need to have an understanding, m'love. If you ever meet Kerri - and I hope you do - never EVER make a pirate joke around her. References to Metal Gear or the Aesir are okay; NEVER pirates!" The redneck paused for a moment. "When she was 13, doctors discovered a tumor. In order to get to it, they had to remove the eye. As a result, we heard enough jokes to fill a crappy comedian's entire set. Losing the eye isn't as much of a bother to her anymore, but please refrain from piracy jokes."

"Sorry, I didn't realize. She is cute, though," Tanya set the frame on a dresser, before hugging Scott. After they finished packing half an hour later, Scott glanced up at the clock and noticed it was almost three-thirty. Calculating the time difference, Scott figured out what time it'd be back home.

"Listen, I promised I'd call my folks once I got settled in. You mind?"

"Go right ahead, mi amor. If you wanna tell them about us, I understand completely. If not, I don't mind waiting." Taking his cellphone out of his jacket, Scott quickly dialed his folks' number.

Who answers?
