You twist open the door and step inside.
The room is quiet. There's not even the clack of a keyboard, or the hum of AC. There's a secretary though. She's in the middle of the room, reading a clipboard.
You approach the secretary and introduce yourself.
The woman looks up at you. She's very pretty – and young too.
"Are you a student?" you ask without tact.
She laughs, "Oh no, my goodness!" she blushes, "But thank you. No, I am Edna. Are you the one I buzzed in?"
"Yes," you say honestly, "I'm , I believe I set up an appointment... so I could write a report about this school?"
The secretary nods, she's very familiar with the assignment, she says many students have come here over the years for it. She'd be glad to assist you.
"I'll buzz someone to take you to the basement, you can start there," she says happily, "Just wait here a moment, would you?"
Edna leaves the room, entering her small office. You hear her pick up the phone. |
