Summer Fun in the Sun | aimar | 7

William II had arranged for his daughters to marry wealthy banking families from the east. While the lovechild Loyd III lived a life full of all the spoils that a young aire could dream of. The Families were not as affected during the great depression thanks to William II's son in laws controlling various banks and they actually ending up coming more well off. In the end of the 1930's an 85year old William II Marbury died leaving his expanding empire in the hands of Loyd III. Many thought Loyd would fail as he had so far lived a playboy life in Europe but his father passing forced him to mature and with the help of his brother in laws he sarted building up the company. With much of their family wealth already stored in Swiss banks during the great depression the family continued this habit during the Second World War, Loyd III who had many women and was considered one of America's most eligble bachelors finally settled for a French actress who was considered the pearl of the French theatre. By facilitating her escape to the US from France during the German Invasion of France she was forever grateful to him.

Loyd III and Anabelle lived a happy life and had three sons, they were both walking brand ambassadors for their cigarette brands as they were avid smokers. Because of his great contacts in Europe and the families sacrifices during previous wars Loyd was never drafted he was however a key go to point in intelligence operations as he had great contacts with the elite of old Europe due to his engangements there in the 1920's. They had Three sons in the 40's and lived a happy life. Until 1963 when a distressed Loyd saw his graceful Anabelle contract lung cancer and dying just before her 50th birthday. Loyd III had large problems coping with this and when he found out that cigarette smoke might of been the cause of her tragic passing, he got devasted. Loyd III sold his whole family fortune out of the emotional grief it had caused him. Incidently he managed to sell the company at the peak of its value. He thought selling it might make the pain go away but it didn't he finally ended his own life not bearing the thought of being without his loved Anabelle aged 68. Leaving his millions to be divided between his three sons 25year old William III Maybury, Cederic II and Phillipe.

William III Maybury invested most of his fortune into modern art, making large profits out of
Warholl paintings and Picasso. Cederic was fascinated by space and invested large moneys into various space programs making quite a loss until deciding to switch to investing in computer technology and weapons technology in the mid 70's something that caused his fortune to soar. Phillipe put his money into real estate starting a small line of luxury hotels.

It was these three sons that were the current holders of the Maybury fortune and they had all made it flourish she thought and now she was going to party with their offspring in Aspen. Although by no means millionaires her parents had gotten to know the Mayburies in the late 1960's as William III and her dad both were members of US National Polo Team this had been of great benefit to {First Name} as it had opened up the doors to an otherwise secluded world still it bothered her that they sometime looked down on her something that pushed her want to succeed even more in her thriving career.

Funny how some freak incidents like a spoiled love affair, the empathy for ones enemies, the love of the good life, and the hate of tobacco all somehow had contributed to history and in the shaping of this familes fortunes.....
