Quiet Streets | Ooohkitty | 6

You hold back. She's been trough a lot. Hell you both have. You hug her a little tighter. Her head push harder against your breast and for the first time you notice how small she is. You can't help but shiver at the thought of what they may have done to her. Maybe it was the tenderness of the hug or maybe it was the just having someone close but every thing inside of you makes you want to protect her. To keep her safe. You look around and the last thing you feel about this place would be safety.

"We have to get out of here. We have to find some place safer." You say to her holding her chin.

She looks at you and smiles and for the first time in weeks you feel a smile cross your face.

"Where did you want to go?" she asked.

"I was thinking that we could make it to the museum from here in about twenty minutes by foot. They have a huge underground warehouse there. There's only three ways in or out of that room. Plus they have a full kitchen for their staff dow…"

"Wait, wait, wait how the heck do you know so much about the museum" she asks as she cut you off.

"Well my dad used to work there back before he got... sick. I mean I even know where they keep the spare keys. I was thinking we can stay there for a bit till we can figure out a way to get to the country."

"The Country?" she asked with an odd look on her face.

"Yeah I was thinking once we get a big enough group together we could go out to the country and see what's left of the world out there." You say with a shrug.

"Why don't just the two of us go to the country now? I mean I know we don't have the strength to fight off the guys alone but maybe if it's just the two of us we could sneak by without anyone noticing."

"That's a good point but I would still love to have a few more with us if we could." You say. "I need to think."

You stand up pacing the room. Then you sit down on the make shift bed. She looks over at you smiling and says "Do you mind if I hug you some more while you think?"

"Sure, Get over here." You say holding out your arms. It take you another ten minutes of thinking before you decide on ...

What do you decide?
