Quiet Streets | brevdravis | 5

With your flashlight extinguished, you slowly creep after the other light. The light is steady, and being waved about in a search pattern. However, the person weilding it is telegraphing their moves rather obviously, using the same sweeping motion every time. It is fairly easy for you to follow behind at a safe distance, and observe.

Cautiously following, you catch glimpses of the woman you are pursuing. She is slender, with nice curves to her hips and breasts. She looks scared, and you can see in her free hand she holds an object which is most likely a gun. On occasion you catch a flash of color, and you note her red hair. Despite yourself, you feel slightly aroused at the thought of following this woman without her knowledge.

Moving slowly and certainly, you close the distance between the two of you. She moves along the pathways of the mall, heading for a department store. She seems a bit calmer now, and you hear her mumble the words "must've been imagining it" to herself.

Right now, you are feeling some very conflicting emotions. Your rational mind is clamoring at you to call out, since it's obvious this woman is not a threat to you, just another survivor. Part of you desperately wants to engage in some friendly human contact.

But there is a darker side to some of your emotions. The feelings of helplessness and anger are running through you as well. She has a gun. That is a real danger, you rationalize. You could take her by suprise and relieve her of the gun. Then, once you've done that, you would definately have the advantage.

It feels like the good and evil sides of your personality are trying to get your attention. The question is which side will you listen to?

Good or Evil?

          Take her by surprise.
