That evening, Amber Stephenson agreed to accompany Morris Bossongo to the exclusive ClubAfrique, located on the beach just steps from the resort, to watch Bongo Kongo, the world-famous folk band and Uicocko's musical ambassadors.
Also in attendance were Melissa, Samantha and Shannon, who had met earlier that day, as well as Lizzie Brizzie, their newly-met host. The girls toasted to one another and to Buddy, their faithful servant.
"Thank you all for coming," said Kwame Kompoko, the lead singer. "So many distinguished guests tonight. "Your Excellency, it is our honor to welcome you." The whole band bowed to Morris, who waved his hand imperially. "Also, many famous friends from abroad. Lizzie Brizzie, maybe you will join us for a song..." The audience applauded in recognition of the Aussie pop star. She waved shyly, hoping they weren't serious. She didn't know anything about African music!
