Dark Shadows | kwill81 | 1

A young girl rides on a train. She stares out the window and muses on the place she is going to. The Dark mysterious place called Collinswood. It is a place she has never been to before full of people she has never met but soon they will fill all the days and nights of her existence.

She sits and listens to the old lady next to her yammer on. As she does she remembers receiving the letter from Mrs. Elizabeth Collin-Stoddard. It had come as quite a shock receiving a letter from Maine. All of her life a check of fifty dollars a month had arrived from Bangor Maine. Now all of a sudden a letter with an employment offer arrives from Collinsport Maine, which according to the map is only a short distance from Bangor.

A distance away a darkened old manor sits on a foreboding cliff. Behind a large window stands a woman and a man. The woman looks out the window from a grand parlor filled with stately portraits of people long gone. In the man's hand is a glass filled with alcohol , which is only latest of many drinks. Roger Collins shakes his head.

"Still looking for her, She should never been invited to come here," he says.

"Need I remind you, She is coming here to take care of your son."

"David's eighteen, I hardly think he needs a nanny."

"He always been precocious, he needs someone to watch out for him, and clean up after his mess."

Roger takes a another drink and joins his sister Elizabeth in staring out the window.

The train pulls into the station and the lovely, young, Victoria Winters exits the train.

Who meets her?
